Brand News: Mondelez Breaks into Voice-Activated E-commerce with Amazon Alexa

Oreo recently launched an Amazon Alexa integration that allows customers to ask the virtual assistant “Alexa, what’s new with Oreo,” hear the answer and place a direct order on Amazon. This integration coincides with the rollout of the latest Mystery Oreo Challenge that will reward $50,000 to a customer who correctly guesses the cookie’s mystery flavor.

With this initiative, Mondelez shows its capability to adapt to new technologies and aims to promote voice shopping capabilities with Alexa, especially with younger shoppers who do not see advertising in traditional channels.
