Customer Loyalty: PepsiCo's Loyalty Program Sends Rewards to PayPal, Venmo

PepsiCo’s first-ever cashback loyalty program, PepCoin, rewards members for buying a beverage and a snack within nearly 70 PepsiCo and Frito-Lay products. Members can easily earn the rewards by scanning codes with their phones or entering them manually.

Participants, who must be adults 18+, can earn up to 10% cash back just by enrolling, purchasing and scanning at least one Frito-Lay snack and a PepsiCo beverage within 48 hours of each other. Once a member’s rewards balance reaches $2, it’s automatically transferred to her PayPal or Venmo account.

Beyond this initial rewards deal, there may be subsequent offers that will allow members to earn additional cash back, which will be key to sustain the program’s success.
